I qualified as a pharmacist from Portsmouth University in 1990 and have had a variety of experience in the community pharmacy sector over my career. I have managed or supported pharmacy businesses in the countryside, central London, local high streets and in the USA. I was superintendent pharmacist for Selfridges Department store, Oxford Street for 2 years.
I have experience in conventional and herbal medicines and have a specific interest in asthma and anticoagulation.
I am a qualified mentor for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and was a pre-registration pharmacist tutor. I also sit on a local committee for the National Research Ethics Service; ensuring future planned research in medicine is safe and ethical for participants. We cover clinical trials, new devices, dressings and qualitative research proposals.
I am looking forward to being an integral part of the PHGH team supporting the doctors in the pharmaceutical care of their patients.
I am available to perform medication reviews for patients which can be booked at reception for those wanting to discuss their use and concerns of medications they are prescribed.
When not at work I like to travel, sew, play the flute and spend time with my family. I also carry out a number of voluntary roles within the local community.
