Doctors

DR LEORA HARVERD

MBBS (1992) DCH DRCOG DFFP MRCGP

Leora Harverd has been a Principal GP at the practice since 1998 working very closely with Dr Karen Grossmark. The systems in the NHS are forever changing but the essence of looking after our patients is what matters to us the most. We are working through challenging times at present and value the support our patients give us. The practice is busier than ever and we are very fortunate to work with an excellent management and reception team. We take all feedback be it positive or negative from patients very seriously and aim to make improvements accordingly. I love coming to work everyday and hopefully have another 2 decades of fulfilling professional years still at Temple Fortune Health Centre.'

DR WILLIAM MEYER

MBBS MA MRCP MRCGP

I completed my medical studies at Cambridge University and UCL, and trained at hospitals and GP practices across London. I have been a GP at PHGH since 2019, and am the current Clinical Director of Barnet PCN6. I am also a board director for Barnet Federated GPs, programme lead with the Barnet Training Hub, and have previously worked as a clinical lead for NCL CCG. I am passionate about promoting the health and wellbeing of my patients. Outside of work I like to spend my time outdoors going for long family walks with our dog, and playing golf or tennis.

DR KAREN GROSSMARK

DR SHARON ROBACK

MBChB MRCGP DCH DRCOG

'I qualified in Medicine at Manchester University in 1989 and I have been working as a Salaried GP at PHGH doctors since 1998. I particularly enjoy continuity of care with my patients and watching their needs change through the years. When not working I'm looking after my four children and taking my dogs for a walk on the heath.'

DR AMANDA SIMMONS

MBChB BSc(Hons) MRCPCH nMRCGP DRCOG DFSRH

'I joined the clinical team at PHGH in March 2016. It has always been my hope to make a long term contribution to a Practice within the community where I live. Special areas of interest to me are women's health and paediatric medicine. I studied at the University of Leeds Medical School, qualifying in 2003 together with an integrated degree in Genetics in Relation to Medicine. Having gained my postgraduate exams in paediatrics, I embarked on a career in General Practice where I thoroughly enjoy the variety of patients I see. I have worked in numerous North London Practices as a Locum and as a salaried GP for five years in North East London. When I am not working I am with my three children, trying to be as calm as possible. In my spare time I love exercising and dining....hopefully in the right proportions.'

DR TARA TRICOT

MBBS nMRCGP DFSRH DRCOG DipDERM

I qualified as a GP in 2010 after completing my medical studies at UCL and training in hospitals and practices across London. I grew up in Hampstead, and it is a pleasure to bring the diversity of my clinical experience back with me to PHGH, where I have been a registered patient myself since birth. Alongside general practice medicine I have a special interest in dermatology, in which I have further qualifications and work one day a week in the Royal Free Community Dermatology Service. I also hold diplomas in family planning and women’s health, subjects I enjoy helping my patients navigate their way through. When I am not at work I can often be seen trying to keep up with my daughter in the local parks and playgrounds.'

DR FARZANA VANAT

'After qualifying as a doctor from University London Medical School, I completed my GP Training in Central and North London. I went on to locum at various practices and have committed to a long-term position at PHGH doctors, where I have especially enjoyed working. I love the variety of general practice and have a particular interest in women's health and local medical politics.'

I am also involved in clinical education and quality improvement across Barnet.
